Why I Built This
Like many busy families, we'd been using a shared calendar for years โ but in reality, it was managed by just one person while everyone else constantly asked "What's happening today?" or "When is practice again?" This worked when our kids were younger, but with one now in high school and another in elementary school, both juggling band, dance, volunteering, and countless other activities, we hit a breaking point.
We needed our family calendar to actually become the anchor of our household.
At first, we tried using standard calendar apps on a wall-mounted iPad โ the perfect spot where we'd see it coming and going. But traditional apps showed us way too much information and weren't designed for quick glances. We didn't need to see three weeks from now; we needed to focus on what mattered most: today and tomorrow.
We wanted something that made it effortless to check the day's schedule and prepare for what's coming next. And while we were at it, we thought about those little sticky notes we'd leave on the back door with daily reminders โ could we make those easier to manage too?
So we built Taday!
Now it's the true hub of our family schedule. Everyone checks it daily (and actually contributes to it!). We've added thoughtful touches like integrated weather so we know how conditions might affect our plans, plus quick ways to add or modify events when schedules inevitably change.
If you have a busy family and struggle to keep everyone on the same page, or if you want your family to actually use the shared calendar, we'd love for you to try Taday! We built it for families like ours, and we think you'll love how it transforms your daily routine.
